CHICANO BATMAN

My boo has great taste in music, and even though I give him shit and tell him he doesn't, I must admit he's introduced me to some dope artist... like the band I'm currently obsessed with,  Chicano Batman, Yeah I said it, Chicano Batman... I hope they play in Friscolandia soon, I'll be there in my Catwoman suit y todo!!!

They have this sound that I can't quite breakdown... I hear a hint of  Thee Midnighters, Los Angeles Negros,  some sort of tropicalia, 70's style, whatever this sound is called, I'm a fan for sure... La Breezy is down, I'm ready to be saved, where's the Batmo-Ranfla?!!! Pick me up ayyy, I wanna cuise to some Chicano Batman!!!

CALIFAZ CULTURE

Hell Yeah, It's finally here!!! This Saturday, Aug. 6th is the opening reception for my homie Felipe R. Vazquez's solo photography show at Secret Sidewalk Art Gallery. I've been waiting months for this show, and I'm hella proud and happy for him! Felipe and I have been working together for a few years now, and he has taken some of my favorite pictures of me. He's a young talented photographer, and a down-ass homie who's definitely showing peeps what the Califaz Culture is all about...

You are cordially invited to the solo exhibition of photographer Felipe R. Vazquez opening reception at the Secret Sidewalk Art Gallery. The is a FREE show including live music, food, drinks, and limited signed prints!

The exhibition will showcase photos taken from cameras from the 50's and 60's allowing film photography to be showcased as an art form. The exhibition will include photographs depicting the California Chicano Culture with a modern twist.
